“How could a woman ever vote for a Republican?”
This question has been asked by many Democrats with incredulous sincerity; however, the truth is that many women do vote Republican. It remains a mystery to many, since the GOP has traditionally not been very sensitive or sympathetic to women’s issues.
While some aspects of the Republican platform might be appealing to women of certain demographics, Republicans’ regard of women as second class citizens is hard to refute. Republicans continue to repel women voters in a variety of ways; here are 13 of them:
1. They’re against contraceptives
Although 99% of women have used contraceptives and they provide a long-term cost-saving measure, many Republicans still vehemently oppose them.
